The main activity of the Institute aims at conducting research in the field of the Humanities. Special attention is on the study of the history and culture of the Qazaq people, as well as on the popularization of the newest scholarly research in the history of Qazaqstan and its neighboring states.
The Institute is engaged in educational, scholarly, and publishing activities.
The book editions of the Institute, dedicated to the history and culture of Qazaqstan, have gained national and international recognition.
